Cool story bro

So for one of my final projects for school, the group I was in decided to cover a Britney Spears song. It turned out quite good. I'm trying to find a way to share it with everyone. As soon as I figure it out, I'll make sure to get it to you.

Sorry about the lack of comics lately. I've been procrastinating and to top it all off it's final project time for my school. I'm also trying to organize a Halo 3 tournament over on the HMB forums. So I've been a little busy. I can't guarantee a new comic every day anymore, but I'll try. Enjoy!

My sleep schedule is so messed up. I went to bed at 6 am the last three nights and woke up around 3 in the afternoon. This is not conducive to making new comics/posting a new one before 5 pm. I really want to use mythic screenshots but I haven't gotten around to taking very many.

In other news, I love this day. Day-light savings. It doesn't get dark so damn early anymore. It feels awesome. It makes me happy. That is all.

Here it comes...

Hey guys. So the power went out in my building today, so I had to scramble to get the screenshot I wanted and make this comic. Luckily I knew what I wanted to make. Needless to say, this is so true. The first time I played this map on forge with a bunch of people, this is all that happened. It was funny for awhile. Anyway, I'll try to take my mythic screenshots and incorporate them into my comics. Enjoy!

Hey guess what..

Well I wanted to make a brand new comic for today, but I had to go with this old standby. I would have made a new one.... but I was up all night playing the MYTHIC MAPS that I didn't get to bed till early morning and wake up around 3:30. Expect some Mythic themed comics in the coming days. Mostly because I'm running short on comics and need to get on the ball and make new ones.

Hey guys, sorry about now post yesterday. I spent all day F5ing HMB trying to win me some Mythic Maps. I had a huge plan for this site in case I did win. I had a really good chance on winning too. A 1 out of 5 chance. I didn't win obviously (congrats again to the person who did). Oh well, chalk up another HMB contest I didn't win.

So this comic... was in development for a long time. I just couldn't develop what I wanted to say. I think I got what I wanted. I couldn't get it formatted the way I wanted, but oh well.

I didn't think I would be able to do it, but here I am, posting a comic for Monday. I'm still in Pittsburgh, but I have been pretty productive. This comic was actually made this weekend, plus I've thought up a few new ideas for comics.

Weekend Special

So like I said, I'll be gone until Tuesday. I was only going to put up one, but I thought I would be nice and post a whole weekend's worth of comics. If I get the chance, I'll update on Monday, but I'm not guaranteeing anything. Also I'll be getting home pretty late Tuesday, so expect Tuesday's comic to be around 9 pm.

So in other news, I was told that somebody has one of my comics as their background? Thats so awesome. Thats what really makes doing this worthwhile.

So I'm updating alot earlier that I usually do (by a good 14 hours). Mainly because I'm leaving for Pittsburgh for the weekend Friday morning and I won't be back till Tuesday, and I don't know if I will be able to post at all while I'm there, so I want to make sure I get as much out to you as possible. Look how dark we are...

So like I said before, I like to have a theme, or sort of a template for comics. As you can see here, this comic comes from the same idea as "HLG", but with different ingredients. Basically I'm just making fun of certain groups of the Halo community.. No hard feelings to all the people that take part in these activities of course.

Like I said a few days ago, if anyone has some interesting screenshots that you think would work well for a comic, feel free to leave a comment with a link to the screenshot, or email it to me. My email is runnin_down_a_dream@msn.com. As I've been surfing the internet, I've come across some of the screenshots that I took from "I <3 Halo 3 Screenshots" on different sites, and I feel a little unoriginal. I feel I should take my own screenshots, but I don't really think of a joke until I see something. Rarely do I actually plan a comic out. If I want to keep making more, I'm going to need a different source for screenshots.

Where'd you get your 50?

I have about 2 weeks worth of comics left right now, so I'm going to start doing one-a-days. If I can't produce like I expect to, then I might reduce to one every two days, and so on and so on. I made a few more in the past week, one of which, "HLG", was posted yesterday. I like to make comics that have a running theme to them, so you will see one comic that is very similar to "HLG" in a few days. Maybe tomorrow.... I should probably make a system for choosing which comic goes what day, because I spend about 10 minutes deciding which one I want to post. I'm just rambling now...

Also, if you have any screenshots that you think would be good for my comic, feel free to throw me an email with a like to the screenshot. I can't guarantee I will use it, but I want to get away from constantly going through "I <3>

First Installment

Here's the first installment of "Where's My Security?!?" comics! Once everything gets going, I will try to run one comic per day, but for now I'll put up multiple so you can get an idea of what this comic is like. I'll only do it for a few more days because I don't want to run out of comics too quickly.

Almost all of the comics that I've made so far incorporate screenshots that I found on "I <3 Halo 3 Screenshots". A few were found in the community files on Bungie.net. So don't be surprised if some of the images look familiar.

P.S.S- If you're wondering what the image is on the title header, it's actually a recreation of the Legendary ending for Halo:CE that I made for a contest Hawty McBloggy ran awhile ago. Although it didn't come close to winning (didn't even get a mention, but I forgive you Hawty), I still like it, and thought it would be appropriate for the site.

Where's My Security?!?

Welcome to "Where's My Security?!?", a new Halo 3 webcomic. WMS is not your typical comic. WMS relies on a single image (Halo 3 screenshot) and text to convey an idea, which is usually (actually probably always) some kind of humor. So it's meant to be funny! Well, it's funny to me, thats why I'm making these things, as well for you to enjoy them. Even if you don't think its funny, just laugh anyway. How dare you come into my house and tell me how to think! I mean, laugh a little, you seem stressed!

The image above is the first comic I ever made. At the point of its creation, I had no intention of creating a webcomic. This one actually deviates from my style, which is to use actual Halo 3 screenshots, but I thought that a remix of an internet meme would be a nice way to start this thing off.

At first I will update this often. I already have a decent sized bank ready for your viewing, and I want you to get a feel of what this is all about and what you can expect in the future. So please, subscribe, bookmark, save, or do whatever you can to make sure you stop by frequently and see what's new.

Also, feel free to comment or e-mail me with words of approval or even distaste, but I would much rather prefer constructive criticism. Thanks and enjoy!
